Etsy listings are written for Etsy search and Etsy shoppers. Shopify product pages need cleaner titles, consistent product types, structured variants, and images that are ready for your own storefront. Copying everything exactly can make the new Shopify store feel like an imported marketplace archive.
What can be migrated
- Listing titles, descriptions, tags, materials, and prices.
- Listing images, usually downloaded and reattached to Shopify products.
- Variations such as size, color, finish, personalization, or quantity options.

Recommended migration workflow
- Export active listings from Etsy and decide whether sold-out or expired listings belong in Shopify.
- Group listings by product family so collections are not built from noisy tags.
- Clean titles, variation names, and descriptions.
- Download and verify listing images.
- Create Shopify product CSV files and import a small test set.
- Review the storefront, not just the spreadsheet, before approving the full import.
Useful boundary: we usually recommend migrating listings and public catalog content first. Customer and order data is a different privacy and operations discussion.

- Product names feel written for your own brand, not only for Etsy search.
- Variants are selectable and priced correctly.
- Images are not hotlinked from old locations.
